Our Lady of the Lake Univeristy, established in 1895 by the Congregation of Divine Providence, is a Catholic institution located in San Antonio. Students can also participate in Phi Alpha, obtain a Violence Prevention Certificate, attend Spirit Day, travel to Valencia, or become McNair Scholars.

Our Lady of the Lake Univeristy offers one of the three Master of Social Work programs in the United States that focus on serving Latino families throughout their life span. The program is offered in San Antonio or online via Blackboard, and it is led by Dr. Karina Gil, a member of the CSWE Director Academy. The non-thesis program consists of 57 credits and is designed to strengthen leadership abilities. Students who qualify for the Advanced Standing track can complete the program in one year with 31 credits. The program offers practical courses such as Clinical Psychopathology, Immigration Policy, Hispanic Youth, and Program Evaluation. Students complete 950 fieldwork hours (500 for Advanced Standing) in seven-week terms with Spanish-speaking populations, including Merida Health and Texas Safe Haven. Students can also participate in the SBIRT Project, pursue the 4+1 Track, continue their education for a Social Work Ph.D., join WSWO activities, and obtain master's licensure.
